Course content
Didactics of games, organization, and rules of sports games (basketball, floorball, soccer, softball, and hurling). 1. Dodgeball - rules of the game. Methodology for training individual game activities important for volleyball (dribbling, throwing, catching). 2. Basketball - individual defensive and offensive game activities (dribbling, passing, catching the ball, releasing the player with the ball, releasing the player without the ball. 3. Basketball - game basketball warm-up, "throw and run" game combination. Shooting practice, two strokes. Training games for basketball. 4. Basketball - rules, matches. Decision-making exercise. 5. Floorball - the practice of individual game activities (passing, ball processing, ball control - floorball dribbling, shooting at the goal). 6. Floorball - game combination pass and run. Personal defense. Rules of floorball. Transport games. 7. Floorball - match. Decision making. 8. Football - training of basic skills (passing, processing a pass, handling the ball, shooting at the goal). 9. Football - game combination pass and run. Personal defense. 10. Football - preparatory games. Decision making. 11. Softball - training basic skills (throwing and catching the ball, hitting from a tripod), preparatory games. 12. Softball - batting practice after the pitch. Softball rules, game. 13. Softball - repetition of rules, tactics, game. 14. Tossed - rules, game.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Demonstration, Motoric and practical working skills training
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 15 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 15 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Students learn methodology, organization, and rules of games to be independently able to run the games. There is the following sports games included in the course: basketball, handball, floorball, football, softball, and wandering ball.
The student will be able to correct the technical performance of game skills. The student acquires professional competencies for the realization and decision in games.
Prerequisites
Mastering of secondary physical education curriculum. Basic motor skills appropriate age characteristics of student.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Didactic test

- participation in classes (2 permitted absences) - preparation of a seminar paper on a given topic (preparation of a lesson on sports games followed by a presentation) - a written test on the history, rules, and methodology of sports games (70% is required to pass the test)
