Course content
Seminars: 1. Bouldering - bouldering in defferent profiles. 2. Bouldering - game forms of training (addition of steps, climbing of selected boulders, the practice of dynamic movements and jumps). 3. Bouldering - excogitation and construction of boulders. 4. Bouldering - the training of maximal strength. 5. Bouldering - the training of strength endurance. 6. Bouldering - the training in specific and non-specific climbing environments. 7. Bouldering - style of training related to competition. 8. Climbing with a rope - co-operation of the climber and safety-keeper. 9. Climbing with a rope - the training of endurance, practice of snap-hook, the practice of safe-keeping a novice. 10. Climbing with a rope - methodology of falling to the rope. 11. Climbing with a rope - climbing by means of PP style with an intentional jump to the rope, the practice of safe-keeping a novice. 12. Climbing with a rope - climbing by means of PP style, roqueting of a root by means of TR style. 13. Climbing with a rope - practical credit test. 14. Climbing with a rope - a compensatory lesson.

Practicum
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 25 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The lessons are focused on deepening of climbing-related knowledge and skills (climbing movement, co-operation of the climber and the safety-keeper, manipulation with climbing equipment). The participants of the subject will be able to climb by means of the "on sight" style at climbing centres and they will have the basic notion of climbing training.

Elementary movement skills corresponding to the age characteristics of the student.

Assessment methods and criteria
Practical demonstration of acquired skills

Active participation at the seminars (attendance at least 80 %), climbing over a section with the difficulty of 5b and by means of PP style. Controlled first-climber fall and first-climber fall arrest.
