Course content
|
Seminars (elementary gymnastics): 1. Introductory lesson - organization and tasks of the course, credit requirements, content and goals of basic gymnastics in physical culture, application of elementary gymnastics in school physical education. Division of gymnastics. 2. Sequential exercises. Basic commands and how to issue them. Entrance shapes, marching shapes. Turnovers. Basics of floor exercise terminology - positions of the whole body and its parts (postures, kneeling, sitting). 3. Mobility - general characteristics (definition). Upper limb mobility, torso mobility. Practical examples of the mobility exercises used in different parts of the lesson. Basic terminology: positions and movements of the whole body (lying, supports). 4. Strengthening - general characteristics (definition), principles of strengthening in youth. Practical examples of the strengthening exercises used in different parts of the lesson. Rugs. Climbing on a pole and rope. 5. Theory of posture. Balancing exercises - selection of exercise shapes for influencing the posture. Exercise on benches. 6. Exercises of relaxation, breathing, balance and special neuromuscular coordination. Exercises with short and long skipping rope in different parts of the lesson. 7. Exercises with a Swedish box - exercises to develop speed and dexterity. 8. Exercises in pairs - exercises of dexterity and strength. 9. Exercises on ladders. 10. Exercises with balls. 11. Demonstration of an exercise unit with a fitness focus. 12. Use of various strengthening equipment (thera-band expanders, bodyblade etc.). 13. Combination of tools and equipment and their use in different parts of the lesson. Obstacle courses. 14. Credit session. Seminars (sports gymnastics): 1.-2. Motor-functional training (gymnastic training). Basics of terminology (movements of body parts - arms, legs). 3.-4. Vaulting exercises (preparatory exercises, gymnastic games, tuck vault, straddle vault). Basics of terminology (movements of body parts - torso, head). 5.-6. Exercises on a horizontal bar (preparatory exercises, gymnastic games, hangings, slings, struts, slipping). 7.-8. Acrobatic exercises (preparatory exercises, gymnastic games, jumps, rolls, handstand, cartwheel). 9.-10. Exercises on a small trampoline (preparatory exercises, direct jumps, tuck, straddle, jumps with turns, jump roll). 11.-12. Exercises on rings (in suspension, during swing) and on balancing bar (walking, jumping, turns). 13.-14. Credit sessions.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Practical demonstration of acquired skills
Course credit requirements: Participation at the seminars, graphic record of warm-up of the given focus, methodical presentation - warm-up (with the use of music), test of terminology and knowledge of elementary and sport gymnastics, practical acquisition of control exercises and skills.
