Course content
Lectures: 1. Basic terminology and classification of modern motoric forms. 2. History and development of motoric forms. 3. Sport equipment. 4. The influence of motoric forms on human's health. 5. Competitions, recreational and top events. 6. The selection of appropriate music. 7. The presentation of seminar works. Seminars: 1. Aerobics. 2. Step Aerobics. 3. P-class; Bodybuilding. 4. TRX. 5. Yoga. 6. Power Yoga. 7. Outdoor Fitness. 8. Fit ball + BOSU. 9. Pilates, exercises with overballs. 10. Taebo, Kickboxing Aerobics. 11. Circuit Training/Fitness Exercise. 12. Jumping + Zumba. 13. Spinning. 14. Practical credit requirements.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Motoric and practical working skills training, Practicum
  • Class attendance - 42 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 20 hours per semester
  • Undergraduate study programme term essay - 25 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The lessons are focused on the theoretical introduction and further practical utilization of modern motoric forms as one of the elements of active lifestyle. Students will familiarize themselves with the rules and structure of an exercise unit, with the selection of appropriate music, exercise terminology that is used and the rudiments of technique.
Students received special competences as per curriculum of accredited specialisation.
Prerequisites
Elementary movement skills corresponding to the age characteristics of the student.

Assessment methods and criteria
Practical demonstration of acquired skills

Course credit requirements: Active participation at the seminars (attendance at least 80 %), submission of a seminar work, practical credit requirements.
