Lectures: 1 Numerical Systems in Computer Systems 2 Arithmetic Operations I. 3 Arithmetic Operations II. 4 Logical Operations, Boolean Algebra 5 Simplification of Logical Functions 6 Combinational Logic Circuits - Logic Functions Implementation 7 Memory Elements and Registers 8 Sequential Logic Circuits I. 9 Sequential Logic Circuits II. 10 Processor Schematics, Intstructions Set, CISC and RISC Processors 11 Von Neumann and Harvard Architecture 12 Cache. Computers and Bus Types 13 Trends in Computer Architectures 14 Neural Networks Principle of Operation Seminars: The content is based on current lecture topics.

Learning outcomes
The students learn in theory and practice the basic hardware of personal computers.
Students will get familiar with elemental terms of personal computers and they will get information and context about particular hardware elements.

Requirements for getting the credit are activity at the practicals /seminars and successfully passing the tests. The examination is of the written form.
