Course content

Information systems in health care. Working with databases, acquisition of scientific medical information via computer technology, application programs, MEDLINE. Hospital information systems, application software, PC Doctor. Methods of computer analysis. Presentation programs, creating a computer presentation of lectures - PowerPoint. Ethics of scientific research, legal aspects of scientific work. Research representative and unrepresentative samples. Methods of measurement and data acquisition. Pilot studies and its significance. Statistical tests, parametric tests, nonparametric tests, correlation. Interpretation of the results of the research. Reviews scientific reports.
