Content 1. The role of information systems in the company 2. The basics of designing information flow - push and pull systems of production management (main principles and distinguishing them). 3. Types of IS (ERP - Enterprise Resource planníng, APS - Advanced planning and scheduling MES - Master Execution Systems, WSM, SCM and others) 4. Technical data Management in the ERP and PDM systems (structured BOMs, Design documents, technological planning routing) 5. The management of business and employees (business process management, Human Resources and CRM) 6. The basics of manufacturing information systems from MRP I to ERP - functions of manufacturing planning and management (making manufacturing plan) 7. Job splitting, merging and overlapping. Job monitoring, management and control. 8. Production scheduling (dispatching) 9. The use of optimization algorithms 10. Databases and SQL 11. ERP selection process 12. Implementing ERP 13. Systems of automatical identification 14. Autonomous systems of production planning.

Learning outcomes
|
The course will explain the methods of production management, especially using business management information systems as ERP, APS, MES. The topics of creating structural BOMs, both technical and business management will be discussed in detail - documentation, Master production schedule, Material Requirements Planning, Manufacturing Resource Planning, Capacity plan, division and overlapping of orders, production scheduling, management and order tracking (information and material flow).

Assessment methods and criteria

Oral exam
Credit: 75% attendance, successful defence of the project. Exam: Oral - demonstration of knowledge of the discussed areas, the condition for participation in the exam is to obtain credit.
