Course content
Lectures content: 1. System analysis of pneumatic circuits. 2. Characteristic air, generation and distribution of air. 3. Components dimensioning of power part of pneumatic circuit. 4. Selection, calculation and dimensioning of valves. 5. Methodology of pneumatic circuit's synthesis, working step diagrams. 6. Pneumatic control circuits, timing strings. 7. Basis of electro-pneumatic control. 8. Sensors - review, properties, characteristics. 9. Introduction to control with PLC. 10. Basis of PLC programming. 11. Intelligent pneumatic, pneumatic systems with servo controlling. 12. Servopneumatics driwes. 13. Design of pneumatic actuators of production machines. 14. Valve terminals.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Laboratory work, Lecture, Practicum

Learning outcomes
Systemic analysis of pneumatic circuits, dimensioning of power elements, dampers, valves and accessories, vacuum circuits, step diagrams, sequential control, electropneumatic control using PLC control systems. Basic types of programming of freely programmable logic controllers, including the implementation of boundary and safety conditions and their linkage and practical verification.
Student gets knowledge from these areas: Systems analysis of pneumatic circuits, determination of actuators, valves, shock absorbers and accessories, vacuum circuits, displa - cement - step diagrams, sequens control. Synthesis of purely pneumatic and electropneumatic control. PLC programming.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Written exam

Credit: active attendance on tutorials exercises, semester work, passing the written test. Examination: written and oral, obtaining the credit is a precondition.
