Learning outcomes
Basic methods and procedures for preparation, implementation and evaluation of the experiment. Concept of measuring chain design, principles of sensors of individual physical quantities and possibilities of their practical use in the experiment. Obtaining practical skills on a selected experiment from the mechanics of solid and pliable bodies. The theme of the experiment is chosen with regard to the content of the doctoral thesis and the possibilities of the Laboratory of Applied Mechanics. After the evaluation of the experiment, the control calculations will be performed and a report will be prepared, where the results of the theoretical calculations will be compared with the measurement. The course includes experimental and computational methods interconnection, especially methods with finite elements of individual parts as well as their assemblies. The field of experiments is carried out on a wide platform of devices in the Laboratory of Applied Mechanics and in the CAD and FEM Laboratory from the areas of force and oscillation.
