Learning outcomes
|
Course introduces basic principles of relational databases. Students will get knowledge in analyses of requirements, conceptual modeling and design of databases. Within second part of the course student will have hands on data manipulation and processing by means of SQL. Security and optimization will be also covered during the course. Possibilities of connecting and accessing database systems together with practical examples of design and implementation of database systems will be shown during the last part of the course.
Students will acquire further knowledge in creation of database information systems with a special emphasis on pragmatic approaches in realization of the server as well as client site of the application.
