Course content
|
Lectures 1. Programmable logic controller - definition, requirements, application. 2. PLC - categorization, inputs/outputs, design, communication, programming. 3. Programming with according to the IEC 61131 standard, the PLC's market survey, PLC's Siemens - selected variety, Siemens Logo! Systems. 4. PLC's Tecomat - selected variety, function, duty cycle, processes and memory, result stack, operand types, system registers. 5. Mosaic - rules for program writing, instruction set and the examples. 6. Sensors and actuators. 7. Industrial networks - RS485, HARD, AS Interface, CAN bus, Profibus, Fieldbus, Modbus, Ethernet, X-10, LON works, KNX/EIB. Practice 1. -2. Programming of the Siemens Logo! Micro system. 3. Introduction to the Mosaic development package, basic acquirements. 4. PLC's Tecomat - working with result stack, logic and arithmetic operations, registers, counters, timers. 5. Elementary programs and their running in PLC's and verification. 6. -14. Individual practising with use of physical and virtual models.

Learning outcomes
|
The course is introduction to problems of logic control. Students meet the methodology of logic control design with the emphasis on function, programming and general principles of application programmable logic controllers into fundamental control machines and various technological processes.
Students will acquire the further knowledge in programming control systems

Requirements for classified credit getting are activity at the practical, successful passing the tests and submit semester works.
