Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Practicum, Task-based study method
  • Class attendance - 70 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 24 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 110 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course aims to acquaint students with the basics of organic chemistry - especially with the basic nomenclature (including spatial isomerism) and then with the reactivity of individual functional groups. Great emphasis is placed on understanding the basic reaction mechanisms in organic chemistry. Exercises in the form of examples of reaction schemes deepen the knowledge discussed in lectures.
Understanding the structure and transformations of organic compounds.
Prerequisites
knowledge of high school chemistry

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Test

During the semester 3 written test for granting credit, oral exam.
