Professional practice takes place at workplaces of possible / suitable future employment of graduates of the bachelor study program Bioengineering. By mutual agreement with the host institution, the focus of the practice can be targeted to the final bachelor thesis, ie if the topic of the bachelor thesis is in accordance with the needs of professional practice. The aim and part of the practice is to expand the university's contacts with practice and to map the needs of practice with a special focus on industrial enterprises and on cross-border / international cooperation. Students choose professional practice in one of the cooperating companies, research institutions or other universities outside TUL. In rare cases, practice is also practiced in other institutions. The length of practice is at least 240 hours. Practice can be completed continuously or in parts. Professional experience can take place in one or more different institutions. Completion of professional practice is conditioned by submitting a report from practice, in which the student describes the course of practice, the results achieved and the benefits of his work. The report shall be accompanied by an assessment by an authorized person from the beneficiary institution who supervised the practice. Professional practice is normally included in the second semester of the follow-up study program Bioengineering in the summer semester, but it can also be practiced in the winter semester by agreement.
