This course is taught in the form of studio teaching. There is four material orientations: textiles, clothing, glass, jewelry in this couorse. Textile In its structure, Atelier builds on Atelier 1 and develops its ideological content. It is focused on the technological processing of textile materials by weaving, knitting and non-woven technologies. The artistic solution is subject to criticism of its usability as a repeatable pattern, as well as for independent visual application. The area of ??implementation is occupied by clothing and interior use of textiles, including overlaps into free creation. The study supports an individual approach to the use of technology. Clothing The studio is focused on clothing as a design series. The concept of teaching the subject is based on the understanding of clothing from the perspective of creating a "commercial clothing collection", in all its aspects (fashion marketing, media communication of clothing brands). The assigned topic of the course responds to trends, experimental development in the field of clothing design, to new available technologies and materials, which are mainly the results of research and development across the expertise of the Faculty of Textiles. The creation of the clothing collection is based on creative art work with available materials, so as to meet the commercial criteria of the clothing brand. Teaching is based on an experiment with material, form, editing and technology. These experiments are supported by craftsmanship, a tailoring tradition. Glass In its structure, Atelier builds on Atelier 1 and develops its ideological content. It includes the development of artistic skills and thought considerations on a given topic in connection not only with the author's work, but also with specific clients. It supports communication with associated professions. It also focuses on the installation of glass objects. The studio supports the development of the student's analytical thinking, including disciplinary overlaps with technology and marketing. Jewel The studio is focused on the jewel of everyday life. The concept of teaching the subject is aimed at the jewel of everyday life, its connection with new technologies and experiments with materials that respond to developments in current technologies using preferentially the results of materials research at TUL. Application of available smart materials in relation to traditional jewelry materials, such as metal, glass and natural products, and their application in the new morphology. The teaching process is closely connected with the acquisition and application of craft knowledge and materials.
Presentation of the created work on the given topic and its defense before the art commission.
