Course content
Lectures: 1. Introduction - discrepancies and differences in the concept of the past from the perspective of our time. 2. Prehistoric beginnings of art; fine art and clothing of ancient Egypt. 3. Art and clothing in ancient Crete, the beginnings of archaic art in ancient Greece. 4. Art and clothing in the classical period of Greece and in Hellenism. 5. Art and clothing during the Roman Empire and the Roman Republic. 6. Early Christian Art and Its Symbols, National and Territorial Differences (Byzantium, Ireland, Celtic Territories, Times migration of nations). 7. Carolingian and Otonian "Renaissance", beginnings of Romanesque art and clothing. 8. Gothic art and clothing. 9. European art and clothing in the Renaissance. 10. European art and clothing in the Renaissance. 11. Mannerism. 12. Baroque art and clothing in Catholic and Protestant Europe. 13. Baroque art and clothing in Catholic and Protestant Europe. 14. Classicism in European art and clothing. Seminars: Preparation of a presentation and presentation of a paper on a given topic.

Written exam, Oral presentation of self-study, Test

Visiting exhibitions, studying literature, consulting. Credit: active participation in lectures and seminars. Examination: written test (knowledge and basic orientation in cultural and historical issues within the scope of lectures and literature). An alternative is to submit and defend a seminary work on a predetermined topic.
