Course content
LECTURES: 1. Color in the historical context. 2. Physical nature of color. 3. Color circle. 4. Mutual relationships of colors, contrasts. 5. Arrangement of the eye and vision. 6. Visual function, visual defects and deceptions. 7. Perception of shapes and space, perspective. 8. Color interior solutions. 9. Psychological effect of color on human, association. 10. Reflection and refraction of light, surfaces. 11. Light sources, luminescence. 12. Color composition, color rhythm. 13. Magic and color symbolism. 14. Color for designer needs. EXERCISES: 1. Swatch of preferred color tones. 2. Composition on the theme Seasons (cold and warm colors). 3. Still Painting - Real Coloring. 4. Still Paint - limited color range (black, white + 2 color). 5. Painting of Still Life - fantasy coloring. 6. Monogram (black and white solution). 7. Mask - color relief (inspired by primitive art). 8. Sign of the zodiac. 9. Underwater world - color collage using non-traditional materials. 10. Design of a color solution for the interior (the psychological effect of colors on a person). 11. Color Rhythm. 12. Color solution of talisman (color symbolism). 13. Detail of the image of your choice (color analysis - sampler). 14. Colored processing of figurative composition on any topic.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Demonstration

Learning outcomes
Color perception, color space, basic of optical science, color contrasts, colors in design. Excercises with colours, boxing, colour comlexion, colour effect, a shade of colour, shades and lights, warm and cold color compositions, etc. Designing.
