  • Class attendance - 20 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 56 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The subject is focused on trades of textile fibres (world marketing, movement of prices, fibre exchanges), on the identification of textile fibres in semi-finished and final textile products - the identification of fibres in blends and textile products with the final finishes. Furthermore, the subject deals with the labelling of fibre components in textile goods. The relation between fibre composition and properties of textile goods is explained. It also deals with BIO and ECO textile products. The structure of yarns and types of fancy yarns are discussed. It is also explained types, properties and usage of nonwoven textile materials.
Student gets knowledge about textile fibres, yarns and fancy yarns, types of nonwoven textiles. Students analyse the fibre composition of textile products and do not work with the raw fibre materials. After attending the course, student is able to determine the fibre composition of mixture textile goods (dyeing and printed fabrics etc.), to distinguish different types of yarns, including fancy yarns. The student is able to determine BIO and ECO textile goods and. The knowledges acquired in ZB1 are necessary for passing folowing courses ZB2 and ZB3.
Prerequisites
