Lectures 1. Introductory lecture - textiles as goods, marking, pictograms. 2. Origin of fabric nomenclature, types of fabric patterns 3. Cotton and linen fabric types 4. Woolen fabrics 5. Silk types of fabrics 6. Knits, patterns, types of use 7. Floor coverings, carpets, dividing, typology, use. 8. Bedding, table linen and blankets, feathers and other blankets. 9. Curtains, decorative fabrics - typology, suitability of use, properties. 10. Upholstery fabrics, properties, typology. 11. Haberdashery. 12. Leather, leather, production, cutting. 13. Leather products and furs. 14. Headgear, production, typology. Exercises: 1. Introduction, grammar topics. 2. Determination of fabrics, procedures, patterns of fabrics 3. Cotton fabrics - cognition 4. Woolen fabrics - cognition 5. Silk types of fabrics - cognition 6. Knits, identification. 7. Floor coverings, typology, properties 8. Bed linen, blankets and feathers 9. Curtains, decorative textiles - macroscopy. 10. Haberdashery, ribbons, braids, buttons. 11. Leather, leather, artificial leather - cognitive exercises. 12. Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to get acquainted with textile goods (fabrics, knitted fabrics, soft furnishings, haberdashery and headgear), leather, leather and leather products. Practical identification and dentification of textiles.
The student is able to identify and name textile clothing and housing materials, knows their utility values, knows standardized labeling of textile products.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of textile fibers and technological processes of textile production
