Course content |
1. The purchase contract in international trade and services, concept, rules, forms, formation, formalities. The type, quality, quantity, package, sign. Delivery dates, link to corporate strategy in purchasing and sales of stocks. Price, relationship with other conditions, risks and hedging. Delivery parity. The payment condition, location, time, method of payment, swift and documentary payments, documentary collections, documentary letters of credit, checks, bills. Risks associated with the payment terms and methods of hedging. Additional terms of the sales contract. Implementation and termination of purchase contract. Failure of contracts and prevention of conflicts. 2. Financing of international trade and services. The importance and risk to the seller and buyer. Services of financial institutions for exporters. Buyer's credit. Factoring, forfeiting, leasing. 3. Control and storage operations. The importance of control for trade, contract security, control companies, control certificates. Place of storage operations in the international trade, types of stores, contracts, documents. 4. International transport of goods. Contracts and bodies in international transport. Characteristics of different types of transport, rationalization of transport systems, the operation of international organizations in the various modes of transport, used documents. 5. Insurance for international trade. Insurance institutions and insurance contracts, types of insurance in international trade. Insurance of international shipments of goods, the extent of insurance, insurance terms, claims handling, used documents. English insurance contract. 6. Customs. Legislation of CR. Basic concepts of the Customs Act. Customs, the types of tariffs, customs debt. Customs Tariff. The origin of the goods, destination and demonstrating documents. Customs value determination methods, proof. Customs-approved treatment and modes in practice. Customs procedures, process, documents.
