Course content
- Structural parameters of multifilaments and staple yarns. - Geometrical and mechanical properties of yarns and their changes in fabrics. - Textile design from point of view of raw material, technology and aim of applications. - Textile design with embedded textile fibers (side emitting optical fibers, electroconductive fibers). - Selected method for evaluation of internal and surface structure of textiles. - Modeling of textile properties in line "fiber - yarn - fabric"and their optimization.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation, briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Independent creative and artistic activities
Learning outcomes
The aim is to understand the relation between the properties of the fiber materials and the properties of the yarns and fabrics made of them. To learn the process of designing the corresponding models in the line "fiber - yarn - fabric" with the use of suitable mathematical and statistical methods. Also use nonlinear viscoelastic models and approximate model approaches based on parametric models with finite element methods
The student will acquire detailed knowledge of the subject in the area according to the approval of the Branch Board
Prerequisites
unspecified

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

oral examination before a committee appointed by the Dean. Written work in the recommended range of 20 pages.
