Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to make students familiar with Textile Structural Composites, and to explain basic definitions and concepts of composite engineering. The classification of composite systems will be presented, principles of structural approach to description of heterogeneous materials properties will be explained, and principles of textile composite design will be discussed. Further, the influence of individual components (properties of fibers, matrices and interfaces), geometrical aspects of composite structure, and basic procedures for prediction of final material properties will be explained.
