Learning outcomes |
The course is focused both on general metrology of peculiarities related tomeasuring of textile materials, as well as the application of quality control tools for the evaluation of textile materials. There are discussed general procedures and philosophy of measurement theory and metrological properties of measuring instruments (precision, accuracy, calibration, etc.). There are described techniques of primary data processing i.e. analysis of single data, analysis of multidimensional data, interpretation of results. Procedures of uncertainty evaluation of direct and indirect measurement results are shown. Specific methods for quality evaluation of fibers, yarns and fabrics are given. Methods for evaluation of unevenness, roughness, hand and thermal comfort of textiles are described. There are shown ways of thermal comfort evaluation with regard to quality of textiles.
