Course content

1. Thermal methods theory 2. Structure and phase behavior of polymers 3. General system of thermal analysis 4. Differential thermal analysis (DTA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) 5. Thermally modulated differential scanning calorimetryTMDSC) 6. Thermal gravimetry and thermomechanical analysis 7. Dynamical-mechanical analysis (DMA). Laboratory works 1. Instruction with thermoanalysis devices, assignment a semestrial work. 2.-4. Problem 1: Material analysis by DSC. 5.-7. Problem 2: Material analysis by TGA. 8.-10. Problem 3: Thermo-mechanical analysis of material. 11.-13. Problem 4: Dynamical-mechanical analysis of material. 14. Presentation of measured results, credit.

Learning outcomes
|
Studies of subject aim at methods investigate of fibres internal structure, thermal analysis methods (differential scanning calorimetry, termomechanical analysis, dynamic-mechanical analysis). Subject describes physical and chemical polymers properties.
