Basic statistical characteristics of univariate data. Function of random variables - Taylor expansion. Exploratory data analysis. Visual evaluation of the data peculiarities. Construction of the data distribution. Comparison of the data distribution with the theoretical distribution, Data transformation removing heteroscedasticity, leading to the symmetrization and to normality. Basic statistic assumptions about data, the minimum sample size, detection of outliers in measurements, tests of normality and independence, basics of correlation and regression.
