Course content
- Basic terms of general and organic chemistry - Monomer, polymer, production methods - Molecular weight and determination methods - Chain reaction polymerization - Step reaction polymerization - Polymer structures - Physical states of polymers - Mechanical properties, viscosity, viscoelasticity - Relations between structure and properties - Polymer processing, related properties - Synthetic and natural polymers, adjuvants

Learning outcomes
Technological methods of polymers preparation, control of their structure, relations between their structure and properties, properties of polymers important for their technological processing, polymer processing methods, additives and their influence on the properties of polymers. Students will acquire the concepts that are important for polymer processing and for dealing with polymer manufacturers and developers.
The student will acquire detailed knowledge of the subject in the area according to the approval of the Branch Board

Oral exam

oral examination before a committee appointed by the Dean. Written work in the recommended range of 20 pages.
