Course content
1. - 2. Geotextiles I: Applications, technologies of manufacturing 2. - 4. Geotextiles II: Relation between the properties of the raw material and the properties of the final textile; requirements, testing (special testing methods), marking. 5. -6. Geotextiles III: Design and calculations for the particular applications; procedures of textiles application, which leads to right product function. 7. Composites I: Textile reinforcement (types, manufacturing technologies, raw material), composite matrix, technology of the composite manufacturing, applications. 8. Composites II: Principles of the composite layers analysis; principles of the fatique life analysis; 9. - 10. Kompozity III. Strength calculations of the selected industrial final products 11. Filtration I: Types of the filtration, deep vs. flat filtration, types of the filters, filtration properties, filter classifications. 12. - 13. Filtration II: Filtration variables, filtration mechanisms, relations between the filtration variables, the filtration mechanisms and the filtration properties. 14. Filtration III: Selected method to improve filter properties (the electric charged filters, the small fiber diameters, the fibers orientation, the pleated filters). Excercise: It is in a form of laboratory work. Students prepare from each task a protocol that must be approved by the teacher.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Laboratory work, E-learning
  • Class attendance - 56 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
This subject defined technical textiles used as geotextiles, composites, filters, acoustic insulations and textile barriers. The main accent is put on the relation between the construction of textile and textile properties.
Student acquire knowledges of subject.
Prerequisites
Unspecified

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Written exam, Didactic test

Practice: Solving of laboratory exercises
