Course content
Students discuss the topic with the supervisor of diploma thesis, they are systematically led to the correct solution of the diploma thesis topic. The student will complete the research part of the thesis, perform the main experiments, analyze and evaluate the obtained data. It incorporates parts of the diploma thesis not only in terms of content but also in terms of form. Student will prepare a presentation which he / she will deliver at a seminar in front of a committee of academic staff - experts in the given field.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Laboratory work, Independent creative and artistic activities, Individual consultation, Students' portfolio
  • Preparation for laboratory testing; outcome analysis - 100 hours per semester
  • Practical training (number of hours) - 50 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report) - 10 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course unit: The aim of the course is to enable students to further elaborate the given problems with regard to previous results. The student completes the research part of the work, carries out key experiments, processes, analyzes and evaluates the obtained data. He/She incorporates parts of the thesis not only in terms of content but also in terms of formal arrangement. He/She will prepare a presentation which he/she will deliver at a seminar in front of a committee of academic staff - experts in the field. Students discuss the topic with the supervisor, they are systematically guided to the correct solution of the thesis topic.
Student is able to work up given theme in the technical field.

Theoretical knowledge acquired during study.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Interview, Presentation of student research activity

Credit: Deeper elaboration of the selected issue not only in terms of research, but also in experiments. Elaboration of achieved results in written form under the supervision of the supervisor and consultant of diploma work. Public defense of achieved results in the form of power-point presentation.
