Learning outcomes
The clothing cut is a flattened 3D surface of the human body. Therefore, general knowledge of the structure of the human body is one of the prerequisites for the work of a modeler or designer of cuts. For these purposes, general knowledge of the structure of the human body, knowledge of plastic anatomy, somatometry, the science of somatotypes, proportions and methods of measuring body dimensions are presented here. The process of designing clothing cuts is presented through algorithms. They represent a set of parametrically defined basic lines of clothing design so that the required dimensional connections and shapes are achieved in the designed clothing depending on the material used, the type of clothing and its function. In this course, the student will practice technical drawing principle in clothing pattern making procedure and in cut manipulation. Student is skilled to apply the form of tabular processing of construction documents and can define grading rules for grading master pattern using computing method.
