Course content
Lectures: 1. Theoretical ground; pattern creation and modification with the CAD assistance. 2. Characteristics of garment pattern construction made from elastic textile material. 3. Principle of a construction formula determination with the regard of the garment type and properties of the fabric. 4. Pattern construction and styling of the lady´s underwear. 5. Pattern construction and styling of the men´s underwear. 6. Specific procedures of pattern styling and modification of lady´s outerwear with the regard of silhouette, fabric and style. 7. Specific procedures of pattern styling and modification of men's outerwear with the regard of silhouette, fabric and style. 8. Pattern making of the sportswear with the regard of dynamic changes of body measurements - input parameters. 9. Theoretical ground of modification of armhole shape and sleeve head shape. 10. Special procedure of the kimono and raglan sleeves shape modification. 11. Theory of the design of lining and interlining pattern pieces. 12. Pattern construction of lining and interlining pattern pieces with the help of CAD. 13. Pattern construction and styling of the boy´s and girl´s outwear garment. 14. Pattern construction and styling of the professional garment. Practice: 1. Introduction. Theory of pattern construction with the help of CAD (Lectra Modaris PGS, MGS a PGSTailor XQ). 2. The main menu study of the CAD system PGS Lectra Modaris and training. 3. The auxiliary menu study of the CAD system PGS Lectra Modaris and training. 4. Clothing pattern generation using CAD system PGS Lectra Modaris. 5. Clothing pattern styling using CAD system PGS Lectra Modaris. 6. Master pattern creation using CAD system. 7. Master pattern digitising using CAD system. 8. Pattern grading with the help of CAD system. 9. Lay planning with the help of CAD. 10. Pattern construction procedure with the help of CAD PDS Tailor XQ. 11. Clothing pattern shape modification using CAD systém PDS Tailor XQ. 12. Master pattern creation with the help of CAD PDS Tailor XQ. 13. Evaluation of shape of clothing pattern generation with the frame of several method . 14. Presentation of workshop activities. Credit.

Learning outcomes
The subject matter of the course is to get acquainted to students with advanced procedure of clothing pattern styling. The partial objectives are focused on study the way how to modify a pattern construction algorithm in connection with the type and the function of clothing, with a value assessment of the construction abscissa with the regards of body movement, properties clothing textile material, the garment function and the silhouette. Pattern creation and modelling with the CAD assistance.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Written exam

Credit: Fulfil the particular task. Elaboration of tasks 1, 2,3 according to the assignment. Credit test. Exam: written and oral exam. In the case of restrictions of direct teaching (online or hybrid teaching), students will be informed in time about the method of further teaching and changes in the form of submitting credit requirements or the course of the exam by mass email.
