Course content
1. Introduction. The theory of the clothing product designing. Preparation of a technical documentation. 2. Methodology of technical documentation development of clothing products which are realized by the type of outsourcing production. 3. Study of the standard related to geometry determination and evaluation of mechanical properties of clothing material. Determination of practical testing steps. 4. Theory of technical documentation development using computer graphics. Determination a technology of clothing production, including graphical analysis of seams and stitches. 5. Pattern making construction using CAD system PDS Tailor and AutoCAD. Procedure of the dimensions determination of the finished product. Practice: Partial work deals with the technical project of the specific garment in apparel laboratory.

Learning outcomes
Elaboration of technical project of clothing product with emphasis on its shape solution in terms of ergonomics of specific activity of the wearer, properties of clothing material and suitable production technology. Students will obtain information from the field of the way how to create its technical documentation for outsourcing clothing manufacturing. Students practically verify the theoretical knowledge to create a project of a particular clothing product with the goal to ensure its production. Students will acquire technical skills to use computer technology for it and the ability to present partial activities as well as.
Students will acquire knowledge from the area of this subject.

Recommendation to pass the courses KOD/KOS, KOD/MSO, KOD/TVO.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Credit: Creative work in exercises. Elaborating a seminar paper. Exam: Written + oral.
