Learning outcomes
Subject Sewing process provides students with basic knowledge in the areas of requirements and features clothing, sewing thread used for the manufacture of clothing, unconventional methods of textile. The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the principles of the conventional method of textile sewing and unconventional methods of joining. Students will understand the basic principles of welding by ultrasonic, high frequency, hot wedge and hot air welding or riveting or gluing with a taping tape. They will be able to discuss methods influence the joining properties of fabrics with a link to the final quality of the garments. Based on the knowledge they can assess the different bonding techniques and propose their use in the new clothing and products production. Special attention will be paid to the characteristics of new types of sewing thread.
Students will acquire knowledge from the area of this subject.
