Course content
|
Lectures: 1. Introduction to technology of garment manufacture, terminology of technology. Product specification (technical drawing, product description, list of operations). 2. The influence of thread and textile on technology of garment manufacture. 3. Manufacturing technology of select parts of garments. 4. Manufacturing technology of pockets (selected types). 5. Alternatives of parts garment for lower part of body (waistbands, flies, lower edges). 6. Manufacturing technology of parts garment for upper part of body (armscye and neckline modification). 7. Manufacturing technology of parts garment for upper part of body (front edges and lower edges). 8. Manufacturing technology of clothes with lining. Different types of clothes assembly. 9. Manufacturing technology of women's clothes (for lower part of body). 10. Manufacturing technology of women's clothes (for upper part of body). 11. Manufacturing technology of men's clothes (trousers, parts of jacket). 12. Manufacturing technology of sportwears and underwears. 13. Manufacturing technology of Smart clothes. 14. Manufacturing technology of technical textile products. Practice: Students are going to use the practical knowledge from lectures. Partial work deals with part of the technical documentation of particular product and practical product realization in the apparel laboratory.

Learning outcomes
|
Students are going to obtain knowledge of the technology of clothing manufacturing. The terminology, manufacturing of clothes parts and clothes are going to be introduced. There are representatives of clothes including underwear, Smart clothes etc. chosen. A part of the lectures is dedicated to manufacture technology of technical textile products.
Students are going to obtain knowledge of the technology of clothing manufacturing.
