Course content
|
Topics: 1. Introduction to subject, terminology of technology of garment manufacture. 2. Product specification (technical drawing, product description, list of operations and technology lists). 3. The influence of thread and textile on technology of garment manufacture. 4. Technology of selected parts of garments manufacture. 5. Different types of clothes assembly. Requirements to manufacture of clothes with and without lining. 6. Manufacturing technology of women's clothes (for lower part of body). 7. Manufacturing technology of women's clothes (for upper part of body). 8. Manufacturing technology of men's clothes (for lower part of body). 9. Manufacturing technology of men's clothes (for upper part of body) 10. Manufacturing technology of women's and men's clothes - sportswear. 11. Manufacturing technology of underwear. 12. Manufacturing technology of children's clothing. 13. Manufacturing technology of Smart clothes. 14. Manufacturing technology of technical textile products. Manufacturing technology of automotive textile products. Practice: Students are going to use the practical knowledge from lectures. Partial work deals with part of the technical documentation of particular product and practical product realization in the apparel laboratory.

Learning outcomes
|
Students are going to deepen their knowledge of the technology of clothing manufacturing. Manufacturing of clothes parts and clothes are going to be introduced. The lectures are focused on theoretical knowledge of manufacturing mainly of clothes with lining. Different types of clothes assembly are introduced. A part of the lectures is dedicated to manufacture technology of technical textile products.
Students are going to deepen their knowledge of the technology of clothing manufacturing.
