Course content
I. Introducing into logistics 1. Development of content and logistics targets. 2. Current logistics definition. Division of logistics. 3. Link of logistics to management and marketing. II. Basic logistics items 4. Performance logistics item. 5. Economic logistics item. III. System conception of logistics 6. Logistics chains and decoupling points. 7. Integration of management material flow. 8. Logistics system. IV. Basic practice of logistics in organizations 9. Supplying systems. 10. Transport systems. 11. Store systems. 12. Production business planning. V. Organizational structure of logistics 13. Logistics in organizational chart of company. Examples of logistics organization. VI. Practical logistics methods, trends of development in logistics 14. Main practical logistics methods and trends of development in logistics in business sphere.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing)

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of logistics which has a significant role in managing production and trade organisations. The content is integral logistics management of all material flow as a whole and appropriate information flow.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
