Course content
(A) Theory of rights. 1. the right, legal standard, the sources of law, the Constitutional law, the Constitution of the Czech Republic, the Fundamental rights and freedoms. (B) the European Union. 2. the European Union. (D) Civil law 3. Private Law: the concept, the binding legal norms, fundamental principles, legal fact. 4. Persons: concept, of a natural person, juridical person, the consumer, the entrepreneur, the representation. 5. Things: concept, distribution, part of things, securities. 6. the Absolute property rights: concept, rem, tenure, ownership, co-ownership. 7. Legal interests: concept, law of construction, easements, the lien,withholding right. 8. the Relative economic rights: the concept, the emergence of obligations, the Treaty, the content of the obligations, consumer contracts, joint debts and claims, change in obligation, the determination of obligation, security and reinforce of debt. 9. Obligations of legal negotiations. 10. Obligations from tort and other legal reasons. 11. The transitional provisions of the new civil code. (D) Business corporation. 12. the Concept of establishment, capital investment, market share, authorities, cancellation and demise. 13. the Various legal forms of commercial company and the team. 14. the Transitional provisions of the law on commercial corporations.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic concepts of the theory of law, European Union, constitutional law, civil law, corporate law and law of civil procedure.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme. Students will gain competence to apply knowledge from this course in practice.
Prerequisites
Students don't need special knowledge or visit other courses.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Exam: written. Test from subject content with a success rate of at least 60%. Participation in handouts 80%. In the case of failure to attend lectures, the student will prepare a seminar paper covering 5 pages of pure text, A4. The topic is determined by the lecturer. The elaboration of the work and its acceptance by the lecturer is a prerequisite for the possibility to apply for the examination of the given subject.
