Seminars: Practical seminars correspond to the lectures. The output of each seminar is protocol.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation, briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation, discussion, brainstorming), Laboratory work
  • Class attendance - 56 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 28 hours per semester
  • Individual project - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 40 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course is focused on the basic description of the structural behavior of the textile assemblies during the mechanical loading. At first the short overview of the basic mechanical quantities is presented followed by the summary of the basic tests and methods for the textile. Last but not least part of this course introduces structural mechanical of the general multifilament, staple yarn, non-woven, woven and knitted fabric.
Students know the basics of mechanics applied in the behavior of textile assemblies.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, mechanics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination, Student's performance analysis

Direct Teaching: Credit: 100% attendance at seminars. Completion of all protocols. Exam: written and oral Indirect Teaching: Credit: Completion of all protocols. Exam: written and oral on-line
