The theme is viewed from an artistic-aesthetic perspective, but also includes media-technical considerations, social and cultural considerations (a dialogue between the social and the virtual). It shows the transformation of concepts of art and creation. The beginnings of social and technological reflections on art. Work of art in the age of its technical reproducibility (Walter Benjamin). From production to postproduction (SI, DAZ). Media art dialogue between "social" and "virtual". Historical overview of media and transformation of the concept of art work. From panoramic projections to interactive simulation. Techno-imagination, media aesthetics. Concept of aesthetic distance, development of interactivity. Principles of new media numerical representation, automatism, modulability, variability, transcoding (transcultural coding). From computer graphics to net art, intermedia and cybernetic art. Virtual spaces and virtual reality. Technologically structured changes in the concept of the body, space and world.
