Course content
The process of creating an architectural design respecting the design brief. The design must relate to the place, the purpose, the cultural and social context. Learning outcomes
The first-year studio is understood as an introduction to the architectural work itself. Unlike all other years, this studio is horizontal. For this semester, three topics are assigned dealing with a smaller character of an architectural task up to a more complex one. Emphasis is placed on the semantic part of the topic. The analysis of the task, finding relevant examples of inspirational models and comparable works by other authors, gradual elaboration of one's own design under the guidance of a teacher and an independent final drafting of the design. Characteristic scope of the submitted work: analytical essay, situation, floor plans, sections, views, perspectives and models.
