Course content
he relation between the society and the nature/the effect of human activities on the environment/ the influence of the landscape on man History/garden styles, structures, important persons Landscape/natural conditions and their effect/geo-botanics/landscape greenery/water landscape Dendrology/structure of a tree/root system/deciduous trees/coniferous trees/lawns,replacement of lawns,others/lines of trees/hedges/climbing woody plants/interior greenery Design/dendrology researches/dendrology method/design of historical parks/greenery and utilities/garden and park composition Legislation/protection of greenery in building process/landscape design and handicaped/environmental protection and protection of landscape Themes/public spaces/green facades/roof gardens/urban greenery/playgrounds/roads and paths/landscape utilities The lectures include outdoor examples and outdoor educational tours (for example: ZOO, botanical garden, the Sychrov chateau park, etc.).

Learning activities and teaching methods

Learning outcomes
Lectures, seminars and field trips in the form of thematic monoblocks acquaint the students with compositional, technical and legislative principles of a comprehensive solution of blue-green infrastructure in outdoor landscaping (urban, landscape) with emphasis on environmental protection, sustainable development, ecological perception, mental health and teamwork. Thematic monoblocks: Landscaping, groundworks - fencing, barriers, railings - retaining walls - roads and paved areas, ramps, drainage - small buildings, stairs, rest areas, shelters, footbridges - lighting, information systems, equipment. Legislation: Greenery in the city and engineering networks - protection of existing greenery during construction activities - protection zones of engineering networks, horticultural and landscape standards - decrees related to persons with reduced mobility and orientation.
