Course content
Topic mono-blocks (source materials, structural and material designs, principles of design, standards) Landscaping, earthworks, fence, barriers, railings, revetment walls Traffic routes and stabilised areas, ramps, traffic signs Water drainage, irrigation, water in a garden - small lakes, natural water purifying facilities Children's playgrounds Sports playgrounds and recreatioanl playgrounds, golf courses Zoological and botanical gardens, medical and school premises, graveyards Roof and terrace gardens, green plants in pots Small structure, stairways, rest areas, shelters, foot-bridges, lights, information systems, amenities General description of the subject: Outdoor works unrelated to green vegetation and gardens, light-oriented gardens, sound-oriented gardens and other types of gardens Legislation Green vegetation in a city in relation to utility networks Protection o the existing green vegetation during construction activities The protection zones of utility networks, gardening and landscaping standards By-laws concerning persons with reduced mobility and sense of orientation Examples shown outdoors and outdoor educational tours (for example: ZOO, a botanical garden, the Sychrov chateau park, etc.) are an integral part of lectures.

Learning outcomes
Lectures, seminars and field trips in the form of thematic monoblocks acquaint the students with compositional, technical and legislative principles of a comprehensive solution of blue-green typology in outdoor landscaping (urban, landscape) with emphasis on environmental protection, sustainable development, ecological perception, mental health and teamwork. Thematic monoblocks: Water in the city - lakes, natural wastewater treatment facilities, water intake - green façades - roof and terrace gardens - children's playgrounds - sports grounds, recreational areas, golf courses - zoological and botanical gardens - cemeteries, medical, school and industrial areas - gravel beds, mobile greenery - other gardens.
