Course content
|
The subject deals with creation of architectonic or fine art object and/or installation of such an object in a particular situation. This workshop is led by a personality of architectonic of fine art scene in the Czech Republic or from abroad, who defines the theme of the workshop in co-operation with other teachers of the Department of Architecture and third partied, which are mostly municipal authorities. The aim is to implement a small object of art or architecture the idea of which roots in intense communication between the customer/investor, leading teachers and students. The form of this implementation is exercising, applying theoretical knowledge about fine art, materials, and constructions acquired during the studies.

Learning outcomes
|
The essence of the course is the creation of an architectural or an art object or installation in a particular situation (workshop) or the creation of architectural and urbanist design in teamwork with participation of other schools of architecture (summer school). A personality of the architectural or artistic Czech or foreign scene is entrusted with leading the workshop, who, together with teachers from the Department of Architecture and third parties, especially municipalities, define the workshop's topic. The management of the summer school is solved similarly in agreement with other participating schools. The aim of the workshop is to realize a small object, the idea of which arose from intensive communication between the client, pedagogical management and students. Implementation is in the form of seminars, application of acquired theoretical knowledge, of especially artistic, material and constructional character. The aim of the summer school is to create an architectural or urban design in cooperation with other schools and their students. The output of the summer school is the presentation of works in the form of an exhibition.

Presentation of acquired experience via portfolio
Attendance: Active and regular attendance at workshops. Credit: The presentation of the outputs from individual workshops.
