Learning outcomes
The aim of teaching in the course Building Economics is for the students to gain a basic overview and skills in designing a building for the purposes of the architect: an overview and idea of the life cycles of the building and especially the question of the overall budget of the building and the price of project documentation. At the same time, the problem of the Building Act is presented, documented on examples from real life situations. It is a general overview of labour law and tax issues. Overview of lectures: 1. Construction life cycle 2. Project management of the construction 3. Economics of construction project 4. Prices in construction, price calculation 5. Determination of preliminary price of construction objects using tables as well as using software 6. Total construction budget, price of project documentation 7. Contract for work 8. Building Act 9. Running a business in construction, authorization 10. Structure of a construction company 11. Public Procurement Act 12. General overview of labour law, tax issues
The student will be independently capable to orientate oneself in basic types of building economy categories, as a financial planning, budget, building codes and management activities.

THE TOPIC AND OBJECTIVES OF THE EXERCISE: Preparation of the aggregate budget of a building; a time and financial plan; a contract for work FORM: OBJECTIVES OF THE EXERCISE: To learn to calculate the preliminary prices of building structures even according to a minimum of project source materials - by means of a method of budget indicators and aggregate prices, and to price the design works according to the Royalty Regulations and to calculate the actual price. To prepare the aggregate budget of a building. To prepare a time and financial plan of the construction in the form of a schedule with rows, using the key partial activities (design documents, a planning permit, a building permit, official approval of the building for use), including the construction of the building. The main objective is to be able to reflect all the partial results in the Contract for Work on the design works and the complete delivery of the entire building.
