Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing)
  • Class attendance - 56 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 45 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The foundations of building physics for students of the architecture. Information about climatology, the main characteristics. Undirect loading of the building structures. Thermal and humidity characteristics of building materials. The design of facade walls from the thermal and humidity point of view. Internal microclimate. Volume changes, durability of structure. Air infiltration, insulation materials.
The student will be independently capable to orientate oneself in two areas of building physics: thermal and moisture behavior of buildings. He will be able to evaluate fundamental climatology aspects and influence of undirect loadings.
Prerequisites
