Course content
The examination is based particularly on the topics, which are the contents of lectures in the subjects UM, SF1, SF2, ST1-5 and TZB1-3 (see the appropriate descriptions and syllabuses of these subjects). During the examination, the student is tasked with finding solutions to several simple problems from the field of civil engineering and the student must defend his solutions by reasoning. In addition to the discussion over the problems to be solved, the members of the examination commission pose some more questions concerning professional topics. Emphasis is put primarily on the technical correctness of the solution and on the level of technical thinking achieved by the student.

Learning activities and teaching methods

Learning outcomes
Civil engineering state examination has to verify range and quality of knowledge. The student has to prove his orientation in the discipline, his general overview in that very complex branch of study. The necessary condition for it is essential orientation in default theoretical disciplines: building mechanics, building physics and material science.
The graduation of the state examination completes cycle of building construction lectures. The student should be able to design building structures on the level expected from the architect.
Prerequisites
Any one
KPS/ER and KPS/ST5
