Course content
- attendance at a minimum of ten lectures in a term; for graduates of secondary building schools, attendance at a minimum of seven lectures is required - writing 2 tests and achieving a minimum score of 60 % in the final test - submission of the following work: A4 - block capitals of a uniform size, any text A3 - Ground plan and a cross section view of the classroom

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing)
  • Class attendance - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 10 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Going through the analysis of the building and introduction into the system of division of load-bearing structures. Topics: 1. Roof structures - flat and sloping roofs, drawing the geometric shape of the roof, individual elements of purlin truss. 2. Connecting structures: stairs, ramps, elevators, escalators. 3. Calculation and design of stairs to the minimum space, including the addition of all safety features. 4. Principles of processing project documentation in the preparatory pre-implementation phase of buildings, principles and procedures of drawing construction drawings, floor plans, sections, views, coordination situations. 5. Space requirements for equipment and fixtures, modular system in a family house. 6. Social facilities, including a barrier-free cabins for civic amenity buildings. 7. Field trip to a construction site.
The student will understand the basic segments of building activities. He will able to use fundamental professional terminology and methods of engineering drawing.
