Learning outcomes
This master's studies course explains the spatial planning system in the Czech Republic with a special focus on municipal spatial plans and regulatory plans - the legal framework for planning activities, the meaning and purpose and subject matter of planning [brief general introduction to the planning process in broader legal and factual context], territorial planning units / arrangement and division of the territory and methods of its use, the instruments of spatial planning [planning tools and their implementation (legal / economic instruments, especially financial / control)], planning instruments in the strict sense of the word [set of land-use planning documents, a set of land-use planning underlying documents], strategic planning (programs of regional development and strategic plans), operational planning, implementation [general programs and policies, budget and spending of financial resources / loans, registration documents, cover sheets and similar auxiliary tools], factors (subjects) of spatial planning [public administration bodies of municipalities / cities - regions - the State / politicians and officers; legal and natural persons and their associations - civil society; experts and professional public], position and competence of professional acquirers, position and competence of architects / urban planners, legal status of architects / urban planners, basic areas of architects' performances. The lectures are focused on the content standards of professional performance and standards of professional documentation for spatial planning of municipalities and cities (spatial plan and regulatory plan).
