Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation, discussion, brainstorming), Problematic methods (research and exploration)
  • Preparation for exam - 4 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 8 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 48 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course is a part of the basic module of the study branch Biomedical Engineering. The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the theory and methods of statistics used in biological and medical fields. Students will learn how to choose appropriate solutions for a given type of data. Students will learn how to solve selected statistical problems.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination, Oral exam

Credit: - activity in lectures and seminars, - 80% attendance at exercises, - statistical calculations in Excel.
