Course content
Exercises: 1) Defining the central issue of diploma theses; methods of obtaining and collecting information and excerpting relevant resources for the purposes of the thesis 2) Search for monographs, articles and annotations in libraries databases in the Czech Republic, their critical evaluation; searching for monographs, articles and annotations in foreign databases 3) Formal requirements of the work, structure of the text and its graphic design, work with the note apparatus, clarity and efficiency of the text 4) References in the text, principles and ways of citing sources and literature, list of literature, principles of bibliography 5) Linguistic and content aspects of text, suitable and inappropriate formulations and phrases, use of terminology; demands on scientific and professional work, science, hypothesis, experiment

Learning outcomes
In the course of the seminar, the student elaborates the diploma thesis according to the diploma thesis. It will search literature and other sources from domestic and foreign databases, with the thesis supervisor specify the structure of the work. In the theoretical part it defines and analyzes the main problems, tasks and basic concepts processed in the thesis. The student proposes a possible research-application part of the thesis. The student will demonstrate the ability to independently and creatively apply the acquired knowledge and skills in solving the research topic.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Interview

Credit: - processed theoretical part of the work approved by the supervisor, - work in progress.
