Course content
Lectures: 1) Integrated rescue system: characteristics, phases of medical rescue activities, organization and management of activities on site MU, classification; emergency services; integrated rescue chain; organization of rescue activities; cooperation units of IRS, cooperation with other emergency units; specifics of rescue services (mining, mountain, water, air) 2) Characteristics of EMS work, EMS workplaces, operating rules of departure stations, EMS organization organization; technical conditions of EMS operations, material and hygienic prerequisites for EMS operations, hygienic and anti-epidemic regime in PNP conditions; main tasks and scope of EMS activities, performance of mobile EMS services, professional and personnel prerequisites for EMS activities, education of emergency medicine specialists 3) Pre-hospital medicine, outpatient and inpatient component, mutual continuity and main differences especially in terms of emergency care, differentiated health care 4) Main laws and regulations and international agreements relating to NP in the Czech Republic and abroad; the possibility of amendments, exemptions and ad hoc provisions; emergency, military, emergency and departmental legislation, emergency plan 5) Operational management of pre-hospital emergency care; types of operational management: single-stage, two-stage; maps, basics of radio communication; legislation; prioritization and decision algorithm; cooperation with other IRS units 6) Introduction to disaster medicine, state of emergency, state security system, epidemiological plans, traumatological plans, declaration of state of emergency, competences, IRS tasks 7) Operational management in the event of a mass accident; operational management in emergency operation Exercises: 1) Outing groups, types, technical and personnel equipment; information systems in EMS and IRS 2) Op-Center Receiving and processing an emergency call 3) Analysis and analysis of selected emergencies; model solution of an extraordinary event 4) Documentation of crisis planning - emergency plans and emergency preparedness plans (internal and external emergency plans, emergency orders, traumatological plans)

Learning outcomes
The course is conceived as a theoretical-practical unit, which includes the issue of integrated rescue system with specification for its cooperation in crisis management. Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject acquaints students with integrated rescue chain of IRS, with categories of participating health workers and with the system of their education, with cooperation with non-medical emergency services. It reports on emergencies and the role of disaster medicine, mass disasters. The legal aspect is also taken into account.
The students will acknowledge themselves with the informations acording to the goal and the matter of the course.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Classified credit: - 80% participation in exercises, - a written test, - practical and oral examination.
