  • Class attendance - 14 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Clinical biochemistry provides basic knowledge in the field of clinical biochemistry, which is followed by other subjects from non-medical health care branches. The subject contains information about biochemical equilibrium of the internal environment of the organism, biochemical changes in the organism during diseases. It also provides basic information about laboratory examinations in metabolically important groups of diseases, methods and techniques of biological material collection.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Assessment methods and criteria
Didactic test

Credit: - self-study, - demonstration of knowledge in the test. Other requirements: - lectures are held at the Faculty of Health Studies and are accompanied by demonstrations and practical training in the laboratories of the Department of Clinical Biochemistry at the Regional Hospital in Liberec, as, in the Pavilion of Internal Medicine B 1st floor - we recommend light work (even disposable) coat, identification card is required.
